Requirements for guests

What are the requirements to book on Stay ÖÖD?

We ask everyone who uses Stay ÖÖD platform for a few pieces of information before they book on Stay ÖÖD. Guests need to have this info completely filled out before they can make a reservation. This information helps to make sure hosts know who to expect, and how to contact the guest.

Stay ÖÖD requirements for guests include:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Confirmed phone number

Bookings may be made by a person with active legal capacity who is at least 18 years old. The consequences of orders placed by a non-compliant person are the responsibility of the person whose bank account or credit card has been used to pay the fee.


Stay ÖÖD guest standards for stays

Check-in

Guests should respect the earliest check-in time. Any check-in before the designated window should be approved by Stay ÖÖD contact person. Additional charges may be applied for an early check-in. 

Changing dates or house

Your booking may be changed ONCE up to 7-14 days before your arrival depending on the house. For that, please contact our customer support at hello@stayood.com. Additional charges may apply.

Check-out

Guests must complete check-out by the designated check-out time indicated on the reservation, and should not leave belongings at Stay ÖÖD past the designated check-out time for storage or later pickup. Additional charges may be applied for a late check-out. 

Cleanliness

Guests should not leave the property in a state that requires excessive or deep cleaning (e.g.: with soiled carpet, moldy dishes, excessive trash, etc.). Cleaning fees are only meant to cover the cost of standard cleaning between reservations (e.g.: laundry, vacuuming, etc.). Additional charges may be applied.

Guest authorization

Guests should respect the approved number of guests and should inquire with the Stay ÖÖD contact person if they’re unsure about the rules for visitors.

No smoking

Guests should not smoke inside the Stay ÖÖD Mirror House. This includes the use of tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, etc.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and refunds

Please note that different houses have different cancellation policies. Make sure you read the cancellation policies before booking a stay to avoid any inconveniences.

FLEXIBLE:

  • Cancellation more than 14 days before arrival: 100% refund

  • Cancellation 7-14 days before arrival: 50% refund

  • Cancellation less than 7 days before arrival: No refund

BASIC:

  • Cancellation 30+ days before arrival: 100%* refund

  • Cancellation 14-29 days before arrival: 50%* refund

  • Cancellation less than 14 days before your arrival: No refund

STRICT:

  • Cancellation within 48 hours of booking & at least 14 days before arrival: 100%* refund

  • Cancellation after 48 hours & 7–14 days before arrival: 50%* refund

  • Cancellation less than 7 days before arrival: No refund

NON REFUNDABLE:

  • Full payment is taken at the time of booking.

  • No refund will be issued for cancellations, no-shows, or shortened stays.

Additional Terms

  • Transaction fee: 3% of the original booking amount will be deducted from the refund.

  • Refund processing time: Refunds will be processed and transferred to your original payment account within 5-10 business days from the date of cancellation confirmation.

  • Non-refundable circumstances: No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the arrival date or for no-shows.

NB! Refund will be transferred to the payment account within 5-10 business days.

* Please note that in case of cancellation, a transaction fee of 3% of the booking amount will be charged.


Changing dates or house

Gift Cards

  • The gift card is only valid for a one-time purchase.

  • If the purchase amount is higher than the value of your gift card, you can pay the difference between the purchase amount and the gift card value on the checkout page.

  • A gift card with the selected currency can only be used for payment when purchasing products/services with the corresponding currency

  • The gift card is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

  • The reservation paid with the gift card can be changed and canceled according to the cancellation conditions of the package and until the expiry of the gift card.

  • The gift card cannot be used together with other discount codes. You can use either a discount code or a gift card for one purchase.

  • The gift card cannot be used for booking houses that are not available directly through the Stay ÖÖD website, but instead redirects to another booking page.

  • The gift card is only valid until the date indicated on it. Expired and unused gift cards will not be reimbursed.


Damage deposit

A damage deposit might apply to some cabins listed on the www.stayood.com booking platform.

The damage deposit is fully refundable within 5-10 days of departure, providing the following provisions are met:

  • The property is not damaged beyond normal wear and tear;

  • The property is in a reasonably clean condition on departure;

  • All Terms & Conditions are being followed;

  • All keys, remote controls, etc. are left at the property;

  • Buildings are locked and windows are closed;

  • No items are damaged or lost;

  • The BBQ is cleaned and left in the same condition as it was found;

Stay ÖÖD has a thorough inspection policy to ensure the rental units are in good condition and that guests will not be inadvertently held responsible for missing or broken items.
